Concordances based on KIRSCH 1966, 247, no. 368. Plainchant intonation of "Magnificat" in the Cantus; complete text. Librone 1 misses the Bassus voice of the "Quia fecit", which is present in I-Rvat S. Pietro B.80 (and therefore edited in MMR 5.2). The fragmentary concordance in GB-Ob has the same music as the Magnificat in Librone 1, but it is underlaid with only the odd verses; as a consequence, the text of this source does not match with the one in Librone 1. According to HAMM 1960, 45, this Magnificat is "a virtual twin to the Busnois Magnificat found in Br5557". NATVIG 1999, 266, agrees with Hamm, underlining that "If Busnoys himself did not write this Magnificat, it can only represent the work of an extremely skilful imitator". Taruskin included this Magnificat as an appendix at the end of the edition of Busnoys's works (see MMR 5).
